Point and Fetch A project for basic Interaction Design course, The goal is to find solution around interactive technology for pets and pet owners. Point & Fetch is an automatic dog thrower designed for individuals such as older adults, the elderly, or individuals with disabilities that may need assistance playing with their dogs and/or keeping their dogs active.
Trip Planner A mobile commerce project. Trip Planner is a cross platform mobile solution developed using PhoneGap and DHTMLX Library. The application provide bus schedule information, nearby stops of user’s location and updates on news. role : UI designer duration : 2 weeks

The task is to explore the issues and design challenges around mobile information systems to promote community building. bFair is an application for iPhone that leverages the power of mobility and social networking to promote Fair Trade.
eBusiness Website Redesign The new MSIT eBusiness Technology website is designed to focus on both website visitors and the web administrator. For the ease of use, the team decided to develop the website based on a wordpress engine. We restructure the content to suit each users needs, ie. prospective students, current students, employee etc. The actual website can be seen here (95% complete)

a bit about me

Hi there! my name Yui Rasananda, a ux designer. I am currently a master student in MSIT eBusiness Technology program at School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University. Regardless of what will be printed on my Master diploma, my main interest is in Human Computer Interaction, which I came to appreciate during my time at Carnegie Mellon. Before coming over to the state, I have earned my bachelor degree in Design major in Communication Design from RMIT University, Australia and I worked as a web/graphic designer both freelance and in house for around 2 years. I am looking for a job where I can level up my knowledge in the HCI field, as well as putting my skills in graphics design into use.

yuirasananda.com served as a personal port folio of Yui Rasananda. The website is running on a wordpress engine and using the modified theme based on Viewport (a free wordpress theme by Paul Bennett. The code used are a lightly modified version of coda slider 2.0 by Niall Doherty , jQueryidTabs by Sean Catchpole, jquery easing and contact form 7. Many of the works displayed on this website are a group orientate works, therefore, I would like to hereby acknowledge all the team members for all the effort and hard works they put into the projects.
